Acupuncture and Functional Medicine

Blanca Lopez M.D. is a board certified internist, who has practiced in Georgia for the past 28 years. Her interest in Eastern Medical techniques initially developed as a means to help patients who suffer from chronic pain. However, after experiencing the benefits of acupuncture therapy for her own health conditions, she became passionate about Eastern medicine and has dedicated the remainder of her career to the practice of acupuncture and functional medicine.

Educational Background

Dr. Lopez received her M.D. degree from Mercer University School of Medicine in 1993. She completed a three year Internal Medicine residency at the Medical Center of Central Georgia, in 1996 and served as Chief Resident/Junior faculty in the department of Internal Medicine, Medical Center of Central Georgia in 1997. Dr. Lopez received her acupuncture certification from the Helms Medical Institute, Berkeley California, in 2017 and her certification for Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy from the American Academy of Procedural Medicine in 2021.
